Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS) - Outreach
Organisations and community groups can provide subsidized seasonal influenza vaccination (flu vaccine) and/or pneumococcal vaccination for eligible persons at non-clinic venues (for example: elderly centres, community halls, organisations serving persons with intellectual disability, schools, etc.) through the 'Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (Outreach)'. Receiving vaccination is the most effective method to prevent seasonal influenza and its complications.
Eligible Hong Kong residents under VSS Outreach:
- Pregnant women
- Persons aged 50 years or above (count by year of birth)
- Children and adolescents aged 6 months to under 18 years (or secondary school students in Hong Kong) (count by date of birth)
- Persons with intellectual disability
- Persons receiving disability allowance
- Recipients of Standard Rate of “100% Disabled” or “Requiring Constant Attendance” under Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA)
- Persons aged 18 to 49 years with specified chronic medical conditions#
Suppliers and distributors coordinate directly with private doctors for delivery.
